Brief History: On August 8th, 1988, in Jyväskylä, Finland, the young Jakonen couple welcomed a baby boy into their family. The family’s lives went well for several years; Mrs. Jakonen stayed home with her son and Mr. Jakonen carrying on with a decent job as a cab driver. Everything came to a screeching halt with one phone call. Mr. Jakonen had been killed in a collision with a drunk driver.
After her husband’s death, Mrs. Jakonen acquired a job of her own and really gave it her very best trying to raise her son and support her small family. Juha’s mother relocated to Helsinki for work when her son was about twelve. Juha thew a record shattering tantrum. He didn't want to move away from his friends, they would all hate him if he did, they wouldn't care that he needed money to live, they would feed him, he wouldn't be able to do anything if he didn't have his best friend, his mother was destroying his life; the reasons went on and on. Mrs. Jakonen suspected he was just being a typically bratty boy who didn't waant to move away from home, and eventually he was forced to do so, though he was literally kicking and screaming and she needed the help of a family friend just to get him in the car. He made no attempt what so ever to return home after he'd got to Helsinki, and he even refused to accept a bus ticket from his mother to go visit his friends. Juha was raised with both English and Finnish speaking influences and has been fluent in both since he started speaking, which made it all that much easier to fall in with the group of boys that he did. Juha was taken under the wing of an older classmate named Sammy, and from there everything seemed to spiral out of control.
Sammy didn't like the name 'Juha,' or any other Finish name for that matter, and 'Juha' instantly became 'Jack' within a few weeks of joining the group. Jack's mother didn't like the name change. She liked his old name and she thought changing it for some boys at school was silly. Jack was offended that she was upset, and Sammy told him it was foolish. Parents were around to hold people back and make lives miserable, and Jack should stop talking to his. Jack pretty much did. His mother tried to reach out for a long while as her son began to cut himself off, but she was busy supporting the family and she wasn't around enough for Jack's liking. These patterns of events continued, Sammy telling Jack what he should and shouldn't do and Jack always eager to accept it without question. A slight delay came about in High School when Sammy wanted to mess around with Jack. Jack didn't want to screw around with anyone, and Sammy blatantly told him that everyone was doing it and he'd find someone who would. Jack was frantic to lose his friend, and he quickly agreed to do whatever Sammy wanted.
Jack earned his full nickname, Jack Smack, as he became an upperclassman in school. He was unhappy with several things Sammy would force him to do, but any time Sammy threatened to leave him be and let him 'find new friends,' Jack would spiral frantically and usually end up in tears while apologizing for whatever he'd displeased Sammy about. Sammy caught on to this all too quickly, and the manipulative teen took advantage of it frequently. Jack started getting into drugs when he lost control of his life, and Heroin became his poison of choice; thus the 'Smack' was added on to the teen's name.
Jack would get high on a frequent basis, and he would get somewhat apathetic in these highs. Jack would ramble on end to his friends about how much he loved Sammy, how hard it was to please him, and why it was okay doing anything for him because Jack wouldn't really be able to take care of himself with Sammy in his life. Recently the ramblings revealed enough for Jack's friends to alert the school guidance counselor and Jack's mother. Jack was diagnosed with Dependant Personality Disorder and moved to Royal park for treatment.
Short Biography: Jack grew up in Finland with a single mother. His eyes are bright blue and his hair is dyed black and cut to jaw-length. At this point, Jack's personality is characterized entirely by his disorder. He's dependent, clingy, and modifys anything about himself to please. Jack has never received treatment for his disorder, though his mother described him as at least somewhat more carefree and determined when he was a child in Jyväskylä; before meeting Sammy and supposedly switching his dependency to the new friend.
